Samara smiled in return. "Well that's nice to hear. I will be glad to be back myself and see a few old faces as well as some new ones. And it would be nice to spend time with family at work too," she nodded toward Astoria with a bit of a wink.
Samara considered this with a straight mouth, disapproving of what she heard. Her father had been a death eater and so had her father in law, for all intents and purposes. He may not have actually been involved, but he had died with the shame of one and that was all the wizarding world knew from the outside. Being as strong as she was in her field, however, seemed to have broken her out of those shackles her father would have put her in, though Eli did have a few problems in the Department of Mysteries after his father went to Azkaban, but he was still able to overcome them after too long. So hearing about this really bothered her, whether or not Astoria was a supporter or her family ties. "That will not do at all," she replied, shaking her head. "Trust is earned, not born and they should know better than to hold you back just because your father may have been unsavory. Besides, mine certainly was and I never got treated like that.
"No, we'll have to do something about that right away, dear," Samara said, taking a sip of the water.
