Astoria smiled. "Nonsense, I've heard you spoken of highly a number of times, I think they will be down right excited to see you back!" She was glad of anything she could do to help raise the woman's spirits, and she seemed to be on the right track so far. Indeed, Samara seemed in brighter spirits then when she had greeted Astoria. Of course, Samara's mention of being a trainee, and then asking how things were for her threatened to shake the smile she had on her face, but she held it together.
"Things have been alright," she said. "Moving a bit slowly. I get the feeling a few of the higher ups don't fully trust me because of my father, but I hope before long they will end my extended training period and let me out into the field more regularly. Though I have gotten very good a paper work as of late," she kidded with a smile. Even with the downsides of work and life, Astoria was a generally positive person, and tried not to lose that.
