lavender is sure that living is worse ([info]lavishly) wrote in [info]pandorarpg,
It was strange to see a neutral sort of question about a patronus suddenly be a lot more complicated. Or rather it was strange to see it happen to someone else. In regards to her own life, that sort of thing was normal. It was good to know she wasn't the only one with all sorts of twisty and complicated layers. And seeing Hermione unravel a little, it almost felt too personal, like she was intruding on something she shouldn't see.

"There are thoughts that make a strong heart weak," she said quietly, clearly today she had Longfellow on the mind and it did seem appropriate. At least she wasn't proclaiming she was Hamlet today. There were far too many things of which she couldn't speak and dreams that wouldn't die. Only it was more than a lost youth, so much more now that it was happening again but in what felt like far worse terms.

Lavender didn't know how to comfort Hermione anymore than she knew what she wanted. "That's good, I suppose we'll all have to start focusing on some really good, powerful, happy memories." And maybe that as a project alone would be good because there was a lot of sadness lately.
