"Do you think we could do it? Like would it actually work?" She imagined that Hermione probably even knew how to do it, just didn't share it with the group because it was too difficult of a spell. It certainly sounded that way, because really who could keep up with Hermione Granger?

But she was trying, wasn't she? And they had all grown since Hogwarts, so Lavender really didn't need to going off on the girl in her head. She had lost Harry and he was actually something important to her - far more important than the symbol that he was to Lavender.

"I mean casting a patronus itself is difficult enough, but to add to it?" Although probably not for Hermione and if this was going to be some sort of SOS system, well, then it needed to be reliable. Lavender would have to start practicing to make sure that her own patronus could be corporeal and not absolutely pathetic.
