Zacharias nodded, accepting the offer to come inside. There was still some time before he had to be at work, really sort of leaving just enough time for a bit of a conversation to start his day on a better note. While he wasn't about to explain the details of why he was gifting her a house elf, specifically in how it would upset his mother, he supposed she could handle some small part of the truth.
However, he didn't have time to respond to her curiosities before the room seemed to explode with dog, child and house elf. The whole thing just seemed exhausting. Zacharias couldn't imagine how someone would want to put up with that sort of responsibility. Or maybe it wasn't a want as much as an accident that turned into something good. While that might have worked for the Chambers family, he didn't think it would work for him.
Shaking his head he pulled himself back from it and Jason's question about position. He glanced over at Samara. "You let your son brew polyjuice?" Honestly, he wasn't really sure what to think of that. Still, he turned to look at the child and address his questions. "However, no, I've never quite have the temperament for potions, or the ability to put up with the smell."
