Tracey did have to go into work, though she felt absolutely miserable. She'd been filled with more dread after the strange episode that night. To feel nothing... it had been so draining. To become an emotionless shell. To be so bitter, and not care about anyone, pushing them all away. Just like her mother.
So now, she didn't want to be alone. And she was worried about Theo. It seemed like everyone had experienced something, so she suspected that something happened to Theo as well. So she was using this coffee trip as an excuse to find out. She still felt terrible, but she was in her work clothes. She didn't have much make up on, so she was paler than usual, and her hair was in fashionably messy. That's what she was calling it.
Tracey had been to Theo's house before, so she was able to get through the hidden barriers and get to the door. She only knocked to let Theo know she was there, and Tracey let herself in. "Theodore... here with steaming hot coffee," Tracey said, holding the two cups in her hand, with her bag slung over her shoulder.
