It was true that Tracey had more of a reason to be sympathetic to Zacharias since he was her cousin. Though she was never very close to Zacharias' father, he was still her uncle by marriage. And John was still Zacharias' cousin. They had their own pain, and their family had been through a lot.
Tracey gratefully took his arm as they kept walking. "It's not far now. We just have to turn to the next block," she said, not bothering to remember if Zacharias had been at her flat before. She was glad that he wasn't asking about how she felt. She was trying to ignore that right now, and try to be normal while out in public. Breaking down was not in the plan today till she was alone again.
