The nod was as much as she'd expected. He didn't know her, he wasn't going to just open up to a stranger, but still, after her morning, she wanted to help someone. Oh well, it would just have to be someone else. She remembered then having read about Penelope's brother dying as well in the Prophet. She felt infinitely worse for the family and was honestly amazed they'd been as put together as they had. She was pretty sure if she'd just lost two children, she'd be curled in a ball and never want to get up again. "I had forgotten," she admitted.
