Theodore Nott ([info]fiadornott) wrote in [info]pandorarpg,
"Alright then," Theodore said, having found what he was looking for. He took a glance at his Sneakoscope within the suitcase, and noticing no deception had discreetly tucked it back into the corner before turning his attention to other devices.

"If you take this in one hand for a few minutes, this piece of spelled amber should detect any superficial spells, jinxes and curses. Anything that is poorly hidden should be picked up, but if it is as you report, it may be that we'd have to dig a bit deeper. Which is why one wouldn't typically do one test alone." He explained as he handed the stone to Percy and reached for a phial filled with a silvery solution and a smaller silver knife.

"And if you can extend your hand--this will pinch just slightly--but I'll need three drops. It would likely determine if there is a curse that directly affects your kin. But it can occasionally be read to determine whether there are other curses."
