He wasn't going to make the move to kiss her in front of the group, not because he had any qualms with PDA, but because he didn't want to make assumptions about what she was comfortable with. But when she clearly was ok with it, he kissed her back with a bit of excitement. Maybe it hadn't been long since they'd last seen each other, but he'd actually missed her and wanted her to know that.
