Percy had lifted his cup of tea for a sip when the knock startled him, nearly landing him with a lapfull of earl grey. He should have known his plans for solitude and privacy would be interrupted. It was no doubt Ron about to give him some more bad news, or perhaps Mrs. Eidelstein down the hall come looking for her cat again. His hand went to his head, another headache looming as he stood up and rested his teacup on the coffee table.
"Just a moment!" he shouted in irritation - something he was usually capable of keeping in check, but recent events had completely wrecked his inner and outer walls. He grabbed a robe to cover his nightclothes and, tying the sash, finally came to the door.
His eyes took on a suspicious gleam as he finally saw who was on the other side. "Ginevra," he said lowly, feeling a pounding behind his left temple. "I believe I had told everyone that I do not need a babysitter."
