She lowered her head and arms and turned to face her audience. "This is only the beginning. My power grows with every passing day."

She stepped over to the girl, her eyes flashing with the power within her, and reached out to slide the fingers of her hand along Marietta's neck. Some would call it a caress, others a threatening gesture.

"It would be wise to remain at home for a day or so. My living inferi will no doubt be neutralized eventually - perhaps a day or two - but until then, they are a danger to all." She smiled. "Except for their Mistress, of course."
