Memo to all witches and wizards

10 November 2003 I apologise that this statement comes later than I would have intended. I want everyone to know that this matter - these nightmares, these inexplicable spots, and most importantly, these murders - are being taken extremely seriously. Members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and the Department of Mysteries are working diligently, extending their hours to make the solving of these cases a top priority. We have received intelligence that this is affecting muggles as well, but how widespread that is is not clear. We've already asked for people to come forward with helpful information, and we reiterate that request. If anyone needs assistance contacting or otherwise reaching out to various members of their family, please contact our offices and we will assist.
