She watched him, moving away from her like she was poison. "Why would I what?" She sat up, pushing the blankets to the ground, mentally going back over what she said. "Love you?" And she was reminded why she kept people at safer distances, why she didn't let people in because she only ever got hurt. They could say all the right things, but the truth always came out. "Or rather love at all or expect to be loved in return." It was a muted, tired sort of anger. And it all just hurt. Again.
She could have kept being that sniveling girl, but his tone just put her defenses back up, wanting to be mean instead. Lavender stood up, taking up her wand and just barely resisting the urge to throw his stupid potion at him. "No, clearly what I need to do is not be here anymore." Aside from a jacket and a pair of shoes, all of things she had at his place were still in her bag. so, she stormed off to get that and then put her shoes back on.
