Owl to Ron
Ron-

What the bloody hell happened yesterday!? I just got the Prophet saying you'd had a close encounter with the bloody murderer! You're alright, yea? Merlin, you should warn me about this shite before I read about it, I nearly had a bloody heart attack! Course I don't believe a thing that rag of a paper says about you being incompitent, bloody bitch has to be pretty good to get away with as much as she has. Please tell me you told mum before she read about it.

How is Percy doing? Dare I write him, or should I wait a day?

George

Sorry mate! I was sort of sodding busy, you know, trying not to die and all. I got caught up in everything, it was hard to contact everyone to let them know before the stupid Prophet published. I had to debrief and I had to let Percy know and then I had to let Hermione know. By the time I was done I was just exhausted.

I'm fine, obviously. You'll get all the details along with the DA so keep an eye out for that and just don't worry. I forgot to tell Mum, but Percy went and saw her last night so he probably told her. I hope.

He's okay, maybe. I don't know. He lost it when I told him. Wrecked his entire kitchen. Says he made these mistakes with her and I don't need to make them too. He's torn up about it, I just don't know how much. I've never seen him be so - human before.

You should write him. He's a bit cross with me because I have a security detail on him at the moment though. Remember how Lavender found out that Penelope's dream was connected to someone she used to date? And then we find out that Percy's having nightmares too and suddenly he's talking to her again after how many years? I don't think it's a coincidence. If their nightmares are connected, what if that means he's next, George? We've got to watch him. There's only two days between each murder.

Bleeding hell, you have no idea how badly I want to hunt down whoever is responsible for that article and give them a piece of my mind. I can't believe those sods have the nerve to write such shite! I'll keep my eye out for your real side of the story, since the bleeding Prophet can't be trusted to do anything but take a sodding stab at good people trying to do the right thing. Bastards.

I'll do one better, I'll see if he'll stop by the shop later. I'd rather talk to him in person, that way I can tell when he's bull shitting me about being alright. Can't say I'm surprised about the reaction though. Feel like it's been building up a bit, what with the dreams, and now this. I mean, he never said it to us, but you know he loved her at some point. Maybe he didn't anymore, but that doens't mean he's fine now, no matter what he says. I sure hope he told mum you were alright. Might want to write her before she sends you a howler or something about not being safe.

I agree, I'll definitely help you keep an eye on him best I can. We'll see if anyone gets to take a shot at him. That's our bloody job, the rest of the world can sod off and leave him be. Get Ginny involved too, she's got more free time than I do right now, what with the off season. And I bet she'd love an excuse to not be at home for a bit.

Honestly, I'm not that worried about it. Anyone I know knows it's a load of bollocks and anyone else can stuff it.

If you can get him to stop by that would be brill. I dunno if he will but that would be great. If not just stop by his. I'll be going by later just to check on him. Ernie is on him today, hopefully I'll be able to find someone else to watch him tomorrow. If nothing else we could always get Gin to stay over with him so there is at least someone there when he's not at the Ministry, which is what I'm most worried about.

Ron,

Really? That seems completely unlike you Still, it's just frustrating as hell, after all these years, nothing changes.

I'm waiting to hear back from Gin, but as soon as I do, I'll send an owl his way, see if he'll stop by to help with the books or something. I actually could use him double checking them for me anyways, I almost always screw them up somewhere. Anyways, I figured Ginny would be up for the challenge of helping me get the idea through his thick skull that this is kind of a big deal and we're not going to let him just slip off, no matter what he thinks. You're welcome to join as well. I'll let you know when he's coming, if I can get him here.
