Percy had managed to salvage the kettle and put it on, then took out another pair of cups and saucers, and some more tea leaves. The orderly actions helped to calm him, and the focus kept his mind from darker subjects.
He did wonder, however, if he was indeed keeping Ron from anything. He was certain that the last thing his brother wanted to do was stay around here, in Percy's flat, avoiding talking about the elephant in the room until Percy could once again be in peace to grieve. In fact, there was only one person he could really imagine being with who would help. Perhaps that was the answer.
