A somewhat friendly face
Characters: Bianca Dunstan and Jayne Dough (Justin and Jasper are assumed to be somewhat nearby)
Setting: The ministry, Monday around 11:00 AM
Summary: After Bianca goes to report about her visions, she runs into her new "friend"
Rating: Worksafe

Bianca was extremely nervous. She hadn't come to report to the ministry yet because she was terrified of speaking up. She knew most people weren't extremely supportive of divination or visions, but now that there was all this going on, she had to think maybe something she saw would help. She didn't know that this redheaded woman she kept seeing was involved in some way, but if she'd seen her more than once, she had to be important, somehow.

Bianca wasn't having nightmares, nor had any spots, but these visions started the same time that other's nightmares did. That was enough of a concern that she thought she ought to come forward. Jasper's encouragement only helped her come to that conclusion. So after being bounced to a few people, Bianca was sent to talk to an official from the Department of Mysteries, which made her wonder if they actually thought her visions credible enough to be in line with an actual prophecy.

More nervous than she'd been before, Bianca very hesitantly told her story, keenly aware of her friends keeping close by. It was only when she was finished telling about her visions - and was asked to keep the ministry informed of any future ones - was she able to leave. On her way though, she saw a familiar face. Asking Jasper and Justin to wait a moment, Bianca shyly approached. "Jayne?"

Jayne had been worried ever since her cousin Millie had contacted her about the Clearwater girl trying to find her. She didn't know what to do about it yet, though she knew she'd have to eventually, and it was beginning to distract from her work. Well, whatever work she was actually doing, as she hadn't done quite so much since Pandora had come into her life.

She was broken out of her thoughts by a voice calling her name, which surprised her as most people around the Ministry never bothered to even try to remember her name. She turned and saw the girl from the bakery, Bianca, and smiled - for once, a truly genuine smile.

"Bianca, hello! What are you doing here?" She spotted the two young men behind her and acknowledged them with a smile and a nod.

Bianca glanced back at Jasper and Justin and then made her way right to Jayne's desk. "Oh er, well I wanted to speak to someone about..." she hesitated, not sure if she should say. She didn't really know Jayne ll that well, thought it had been Jayne's advice that had given her enough courage to stand up to Lavender, in a way. "...about some things I thought might help. With these nightmares and such. Got bounced around a bit and then I thought I recognised you."

She twined her fingers together and then added, "If I'd thought ahead and realised I might see you, I would have brought something. I've baked quite a bit over the last day or so." She realised then that she wanted to thank Jayne for her advice, let her know it was working, but that she'd likely have to delve into details to explain.

"Yeah, sometimes I think half the reason people have jobs around here is so they can pass someone on somewhere else. Did you managed to talk to someone? If not, I could get someone for you - no more bouncing, I promise."

She was genuinely surprised by the fact that Bianca had come by just to see her, and had said she would have brought her something. Nobody really made such offers to Jayne, not even the other secretaries that she helped out regularly. "It's all right, it's the thought that counts. And, it means a lot." She smiled a genuine smile.

"It did start to feel that way, a bit. But I did get to speak to someone, thank you. If it happens again though I should probably remember to come talk to you first."

Bianca shifted her weight, one hand going to her mouth to tug gently at her lip. "I'll come by again soon, just to see you. I mean, if that's all right?" She added that uncertainly, remembering her tea with Lavender and how poorly that all turned out. What if this budding friendship went just as badly?

Jayne was again surprised, but managed to hide it. "That would be lovely. Perhaps we can have lunch, either here in the cafeteria, or somewhere on Diagon. It's always nice to get away from work for a bit."

She glanced again at the two young men waiting for them, and couldn't help a small smirk. "Though I see you're not lacking in company at the moment. They're both rather handsome."

She'd have said something like I'd be enjoying their company too if I was your age..., except she had been with a young man their age quite recently. Unfortunately, she'd had to kill him. Again, what a waste, particularly since it seemed to be leading inquiring minds to her.

Bianca followed Jayne's glance and flushed a deep red. "They're both just...friends." Her tone and blush both made it pretty clear that she wouldn't have been upset if even one of them was more than that. "They're just...keeping an eye on me." To prove her innocence, as though it needed proving.

Bianca shook her head, trying to make light of a situation that actually weighed rather heavily on her. "It's a very silly story really, but with everything going on lately, it's...best I'm not alone." The way that was worded, it sounded more like she was worried about being a victim, not about having to prove she wasn't the killer.

"Yes, friends are quite valuable at times like these," she replied. The words were truth, but they felt like lies - probably because she, or rather Pandora using her, was behind what was happening.

This girl had nothing to fear, however.

"I'm sure you'll be fine, though. You haven't been having these dreams I keep hearing about, have you?"

She knew she wasn't, as Pandora had told her so, but to not ask the question at this point might seem rather suspicious. Merlin, she was even starting to think like Pandora now.

Bianca shook her head. "No...but I've been seeing things. Visions, I mean. That's why I came to talk to someone here. Some people might think my visions mean I have something to do with what's happening, but I think that maybe something I see can help. Maybe."

Bianca colored a little, suddenly feeling like she'd said too much. "My friends are keeping me company and keeping me safe. That's all that really matters, right?"

"Visions?" At this her interest was piqued, as was Pandora's. "What exactly have you seen?"

Perhaps whatever it was could indeed help the Aurors - which wasn't that good a thing - or perhaps it was completely benign. She hoped it was the latter, as she liked Bianca and would hate for anything bad to happen to her.

Again, Bianca hesitated. She'd told Jasper her visions, and that had been fine. But then she'd told Lavender and that had been disastrous. Telling the ministry hadn't turned out poorly - but then, she'd only just told someone - so she wasn't sure at all whether or not she should tell Jayne.

"A woman. A red-haired woman whose face I don't recognise. I don't know who she is or why I'm seeing her, but she scares me." Bianca cast her eyes downward, unwilling to look at Jayne as she spoke. She'd gone into much more detail just now than she really wanted to.

"Oh my, now isn't this interesting. This little girl seeing me in visions... she shouldn't feel afraid, she should be honoured."

Jayne reached out to pat Bianca's hand. "For your sake, I hope it's nothing. In fact, I'd think that's Bellatrix Lestrange's nightmare - or anybody's who've suffered the wrath of Molly Weasley."

She saw someone coming toward her dest - someone she recognized because he always seemed to be bringing her the Crisis of the Day. She only just held back a groan.

"I think work is about to call, but I would like to have lunch later this week. Send me an owl and I'll make time for you, all right?"

Bianca actually smiled a little at Jayne's comment. "I think you might be right." She straightened up as Jayne's attention wavered just a bit. "Oh, yes, I will. I should go anyway. My friends have been waiting long enough."

She smiled a bit and gave a shy little wave. "I'll talk to you later then," she added, before she turned to go.
