MYSTERIOUS DEATH AT THE MINISTRY
By Betty Brathwaite
LONDON - Cleaning staff at the Ministry of Magic made a surprising find in the early hours of the morning as they made their rounds before the usual influx of Ministry personnel.
"It was awful," claimed an anonymous witness. "There was such a mess! Stains on the rug, a sock behind a filing cabinet... Then on top of everything, one of the others finds a body in the other room when I go searching for the big rubbish bin! The mess I can understand - the occasional employee stays for a little 'overtime' every now and then, if you know what I mean. But the body, now that's unusual."
Ministry officials will only state that there was indeed a dead body found in the Department of Mysteries, a male with dark hair and eyes, who has yet to be identified. The cause of death is as of yet undetermined.
Luckily for the wizarding world at large, sources report that none other than the Man Who Lived Twice is on the case. Accompanying Harry Potter on this particular quest is fellow Auror Roger Davies.
The Daily Prophet is committed to keeping the public informed on this case, and will release updated information when it becomes available.
STRANGE PHENOMENON AFFECTS WIZARDS ACROSS THE UNITED KINGDOM
HOGSMEADE - Witches and wizards across the Isles suffered from terrifying nightmares and visions last night. As of the Prophet's release, there has been no indication as to the reason or source of this phenomena, nor any qualitative link between it and the strange death at the Ministry of Magic.
Some have compared the experience to encountering a boggart, only worse. Others have claimed it was as if they were reliving the worst moment of their lives. It appears that all nightmares/visions have been unique, no two identical.
One thing is for certain - little has had the journals buzzing this strongly since Puddlemere United lost a game to the Chudley Canons.
