Marietta had not felt particularly threatened in this situation until the woman approached her. The way that she walked reminded her of someone that had been haunting her in her dreams. That couldn't be possible though. This was just Jayne Dough from the Ministry of Magic, unless-
"I value my life above all others," she replied automatically, looking into this woman's eyes. It couldn't be possible, could it? This could not be the woman that Marietta had grown to have some affection for, despite the torture she caused her in her dreams. Yet she commanded herself in the same way and Marietta felt drawn to her in a way she was not drawn to any other person. And she had power Marietta had never seen before, had used it on her already.
She had to ask - she had to know. Sounding more humbled than she had ever sounded before in Jayne's presence, not to mention much calmer, Marietta asked with an awed voice, "Are you the red-haired woman from my dreams? The one who holds power beyond which no one has ever matched? I've wanted to be in your presence ever since I started having those dreams."
