If Marietta had known that the healer would not be alone in the room she would have entered more quietly, but of course she expected no such thing. She barged in, the door slamming against the wall and skidded to a halt. There on the patient bed was Jayne Dough, of all the bloody people, and Crumplebottom was already beginning his examination of her. This couldn't go any worse if Zacharias decided to stroll in and demand his own sodding check-up.
Crumplebottom looked up at the disturbance at the door, which Marietta shut behind her because it was too late to turn around now. She wasn't going to give up on her plan now, even if Dough was here. She could kill two birds with one stone if she had to. "Ms. Edgecombe? Have you lost your way to the exit? I can call someone to help you-" he began, but Marietta raised her wand and pointed it at the healer.
"Oh, I can assure you I'm not lost. I was looking for you, Crumplebottom. Of course I certainly could've done without seeing you again," Marietta's nose scrunched up in disgust as she glanced over at Jayne.
