Michael had his suspicions about what she thought of herself but he'd never really heard her say it outright. This was definitely the first time she'd said it so openly and while he hated that she felt such things, he was glad that she was comfortable enough with him that she could share them.

He still had his hand on her chin and the first thing he did was kiss her because it made the most sense to him. He wanted her to see that she was not dangerous, not now - now ever. Eventually he pulled away from her and said, "Lav, I know that being in between a werewolf and a human is something altogether different but that doesn't make being a werewolf or being dead by Greyback's hand better. You don't have to be labeled as something in particular just to be okay, y'know. As far as thoughts and urges go, Lav, that's part of being a wolf. I know it feels different for you but it's just how it is."

Michael touched the side of her face softly. "Lavender, you aren't going to hurt anyone. The very fact that you worry so much about it and refuse to come out on those nights and argue with me when I try to get you to do otherwise prove it. And even if you did come out, I don't believe you'd hurt anyone. It's not in you. It's not in here," he pointed to her chest, to the place where her heart resided.
