Eli saw his son the same way his father regarded him, which was not as a child at all. "Just because he can't do everything, doesn't mean there can't be something for him to do, to give some sort of peace of mind." He honestly wasn't looking to placate his son, but rather allow him a focus through out all this. Perhaps that way it could be somewhat manageable.
He sat back in his chair watching carefully as Jason entered his study. Eli wasn't sure when his study because some sort of communal living space, but he would deal with that later and only if he had to. Right now he had the pleasure of explaining things to Jason.
