Percy remained in shock as he listened to her words, but when she broke into tears, he nearly started panicking. Oh, he was absolutely awful when it came to crying females, made even more difficult by the fact that, though Penelope had come here, he doubted she would accept anything approaching a hug, even if it was meant to comfort.
