"First, I'd like proof that you actually are pregnant and that it's mine because given your apparent...inclinations who knows who the father could actually be." For whatever reason, Zacharias Smith was blessed with a clear head this evening. Unlike when she had told him just a few days ago, he knew what to expect and unless something new popped up, he felt as thought he might actually have the better hand. And really until he heard it from the healer he could deny, deny, deny like the best of them. It might not have been the most truthful option, but it was a means of survival.
"Then we can both have the pleasure of telling Elaina about her bastard half-blood grandchild." Scary as the thought of being a father was, there was momentary amusement as how much his mother would hate it. And then really how quickly Marietta would become Elaina's latest project. And if his denial happened to be true, well, then he was setting Marietta up to orchestrate a rather complicated lie.
"Although I suppose all of that can wait until Monday, because I really would have for Roger here to miss out on that special thing you do with your hips." Zacharias turned to address Roger then, his tone shifting only marginally because Roger was just caught in the crossfire. "And I would really suggest you set that safe word and a way to make sure she sticks to it."
