"I only speak the truth," Roger said grinning when she commented about flattery. He waited while she prepared the vase for the flowers and set them aside on the counter. He grinned as she took his hand to lead him to the living room.
Roger grinned as he was pulled down to the sofa with her, and gladly accepted the offered wine. "I an enjoyable evening, Miss Edgecombe," he replied with the toast, and clinked his glass with hers, before taking a drink.
