Tracey didn't need a philosophical decision on life or death with this woman. She just wanted her brother safe, and Tracey didn't want to accept that this wasn't going to happen.
"No! Stop hurting him!" she screamed when she brought her heel down on John's knee. Tracey couldn't stand it anymore. Hearing and watching John in pain.
"Tracey... I love you. Please, just do it, and get out of here," John told her. Tracey knew that he'd been through more pain than her. He wanted to protect her even now.
Tracey couldn't stop crying, and as much as she wanted to look away, she didn't. She didn't want her brother's last memories of her being a coward. "I love you too John. I love you so much," Tracey said softly, trying to find her voice through the sobs.
"Please... don't hurt him anymore. Put him out of his misery," Tracey said the pain in her voice clear.
