Harry found himself straightening up under that gaze. He cleared his throat but said nothing. He accepted and then opened the file in front of him, gazing at the photo there. It was grainy and slightly unfocused, but it wasn't hard to make out the features of the man pictured. Harry didn't recognise him. His eyes did go a little wide at the mention of Thorntwaite. That this man had been disguised as him - likely Polyjuice, Harry decided. it was a most convincing method, he knew from plenty of experience.
Harry nodded quickly at Gaskin's assessment. He felt himself go a little cold at the location of the body. That didn't bode at all well. He wondered now if the man had gotten what he'd come for, if he'd had an accomplice, a dozen other questions at once. "Right away sir."
Then after a quick glance at Roger, Harry looked up at Gaskin and offered, "Sir, if I may? Davies and I were speculating about an approach. We thought perhaps discovering who he was might lead to what he wanted - or vice versa." Now they knew he'd been disguised as Thorntawite, it wasn't likely the visitor logs would be of any help however. "Davies here suggested sending the body off to Mungo's to see what we can't get off it, in terms of magical signatures, perhaps. Also, nothing's missing, but I thought we ought to make sure nothing's suddenly turned up that shouldn't be there either."
