Dalrimple didn't bother turning from his window as he heard first Potter enter, followed shortly by Davies. He only turned when he heard the door close. He waved a hand at the window and it's panes went dark as he went to sit behind his desk. "Gentlemen, I'll get right to the point," he began, looking at them both in turn. "This case is going to be an interesting one, and probably cause a bit of a media frenzy. But I trust you two can handle it." His steely gaze lingered on Potter for a moment before he held out a red file folder to each of them.

"That's all the information you'll to go on so far, and it isn't much." He opened the file he had in front of him, its contents the same as Davies's and Potter's. In it were a few notes and grainy wizarding photo. It showed a man - the man now lying cold in the morgue - pausing just outside the Ministry to down something before moving out of frame and presumably towards the entrance. "This is the wizard found dead in the Department of Mysteries this morning. He's yet to be identified, but you'll be updated as soon as the researchers have found something. Apparently he gained entrance by disguising himself as Eyelop Thorntwaite." And wasn't that just embarrassing for the Manager of the Department of Mysteries. Thornwaite was going to be chewed out for allowing himself to be set upon and likely severely reprimanded. But at the moment, that wasn't important to the case. what he was about to say next likely was.

"As of yet, we don't know why this wizard wanted to get into the Department of Mysteries, but we do know where he ended up." Dalrimple looked up from the file. "Potter, you were involved in the recent retrieval of a cache of dark item believed to have belonged to Voldemort. The room where those items were being kept is where our dead intruder was found. So far as the clerks down there can tell, nothing was taken and everything is intact, but it bears looking into."
