"What have you to lose," Daphne asked in reply, though as that didn't answer his question, she shrugged. "If you like them, it will be return business for me. If you don't, c'est la vie, and you still get a new set of robes for free."

She studied him for a moment, and despite herself actually found him to be somewhat charming. He merely needed a push in the right direction, and perhaps a little bit of confidence. She couldn't imagine he had very much of it given the size of his family.

"How does four o'clock sound?"
