Zacharias was going through hell, but not for the obvious reason. Really, his dead father was the least of his concerns at the moment. It was everything else that bothered him more, made him more volatile than normal. Even the little things seemed to set him off, not that Justin's little comments earlier could be considered a little thing.

He looked over at Adelle with a pointed look and she seemed to get the message. Adelle turned to Justin with a polite smile on her face. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go help my neema. Thank you for being here." She turned back and squeezed her brother's arm in warning, reminding him that now was not the time for another fight or stand to be taken.

Zacharias waited until Adelle was well out of earshot before he addressed Justin. "I wasn't even aware you were invited." Not that it had been a private affair, but he hadn't expected Justin to show up. Hell, he didn't expect any of his former classmates to be here. He certainly didn't want them here, least of all Justin.
