He laughed at that. "What can I say? I was taught to be polite and not turn down what's being offered." There was no denying that Zacharias Smith could be an opportunistic bastard. Sex was like fish and chips, even when it was bad it was still good and Zacharias never turned down a meal.

"Love, I'm impressed you manage to get by day after day. I would be simply astonished if you could figure out what I need. And then find a way to use it to your advantage." Maybe he was underestimating her or maybe he was just bored and Marietta's meddling was far better than anything else he was dealing with. At least this was something he was willingly bringing on himself.
