"I'll leave the limelight to you--I've never really enjoyed it," he replied, making a retreat from the stage. He sat back down at a different table--a table where he didn't need to worry about slipping on his own vomit typically made for good seating.
What had happened still weighed on his mind--it wasn't something that he'd wanted to lessen the impact of, in any case. He pulled out a small leather-bound notebook and scribbled a few thoughts in it as he normally did when he thought of something he'd consider at a later time. A few words on what he had observed within himself and others would cue his mind to this moment later. He considered for a moment whether he would leave or remain... He did manage to complete a "good deed" for the day, so what logically should follow is a reward of sorts. And so it was decided that he would linger for a bit longer.
