Probably because the nightmares were horrific in nature. the few he'd become privy to were torturous, and he had no doubt this woman's friends were the same.
Her fingers brushed his and he didn't move his own away. Instead he focused a steady blue gaze on her, pleased to know he'd been right about her accent.
