No sooner had Justin asked his question than there was a knock at the door. "That'll be her now," Seamus said as he set down the CDs he'd been rifling through and went to get the door. The smell of the pies hit him first on the blast of cool air that cut through his t-shirt, and he made out Lavender half hidden behind the stack of boxes. "Here let me help you with those." He took the boxes from her and nodded inside. "Dean's still cooking, but it should be done soon. Justin's setting the table." He was rambling a little, but it was better than the oppressive silence that had been lingering in the house since that morning.
