Jasper found the tea with no problem and set it down next to the mugs. The water wasn't ready yet, though, so he could only focus on Ernie as the mood in the kitchen turned slightly awkward. "I don't imagine he's doing too well. I didn't get to see him. He just left me a note on my journal to check in on you. And he was right to do so." He pushed his glasses up his nose, then took them off to clean them with the hem of his shirt. It was easier talking half blind. "I don't know what happened between you three, but he just wanted someone to make sure you were okay."
