When Hannah had received the owl in the early morning hours, the news of Harry's death had shocked her. What had shocked her even more was that Ernie had pushed aside her making amends with Justin in favor of their all attempting to be together for the evening. Immediately she had reached out to Justin only to have him give her a few short words. She'd tried to apologize but he had yet to respond. Hannah wasn't sure if it was because he was simply reeling from the news or if it was because he truly was ignoring her.

In light of Justin's lack of response, Hannah had decided that she would stay away from Ernie's and let him simply get some well needed rest that evening. However, when Jasper mentioned to her that he was going over and that Ernie had stated he expected her she decided to suck it up and go. At least with Jasper there things wouldn't be too awkward.

Once she'd completed her shift, Hannah went upstairs, took a shower, and put on a comfortable outfit. She then apparated out of her flat and a bit up the street from Ern's. Slowly Hannah made her way to his front door and knocked. She knew it was late, but she had told Jasper to let Ernie know she wouldn't be by until after nine. Hopefully, he had stayed until then to keep Ernie company.
