[Release sent via owl, memo, and other methods throughout the wizarding community]

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Harry James Potter on October 31, 2003. He devoted his life to protecting the community from threats great and small, and will be sadly missed by all.

Public funeral will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 1 PM at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Private internment to follow at Godric's Hollow at a time that will not be disclosed to the public.

Donations to your charity of choice would be appreciated.
