I tried looking for you last night but you weren't around. I'm worried. I'm so sorry about what happened last night. I hope you're alright.

I guess if you get this owl after Prophet, and I can't stop you from seeing the news.
And if you haven't already seen it--Harry's passed away. Harry Potter. He's gone. He's been murdered. I'd rather that you not learn about it from the Prophet, since it's always exaggerated. All that we really know that I can say is that he was at the gala event, at the Ministry last night.

Just stop by whenever you can whether it be before or after work. I can't not go to work today. My shift starts at 07:00--I should be out the door by 06:45. I just need to know that you're alright. I'm so sorry I can't be around. If I am not around, just take care of yourself. Don't be alone. I don't know how I'll get through the day but I will. I should be back at about 16:00 at the very latest. I hope.

Thank-you for the owl. I was at Pop's because I couldn't bear being alone and likely wouldn't have learned about this until reporting for my shift this afternoon.

If things at the Leaky aren't too busy I will try to come by but I have a feeling it might be too awkward.

[Replied later in the morning after waking up, being given the news about Harry, and taking a hangover potion - as well as quite a bit of time hemming and hawing about whether or not to answer]

I'm okay Ern, I'm with Seamus and Dean. Neville came by early in the morning to give them the news about Harry. I'm still in shock, I can't believe it. I don't think I did believe it until I took a hangover potion. Thank God Seamus keeps a few around, else that herd of elephants would still be stomping its way through my brain.

Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Take care of yourself and Hannah, and give Heather my love too.
