What DMLE employees will know the morning of November 1st.
[DMLE employees will be privy to certain information before the general public, so here is a brief timeline of what happens/what they'd know and when.]

12 AM There was was brief scream just before midnight. Those DMLE employees working the Gala were ordered to clear the place out.

12:30 AM After all guests have left the Ministry, all DMLE employees were ordered to a department-wide meeting. DMLE employees not on the premises and not involved in life-or-death assignments were notified to return to the Ministry for an emergency meeting ASAP.

1 AM All DMLE employees will be informed that Harry Potter has been murdered and that his case is now priority. Neville Longbottom and Adrian Pucey will be investigating while Roger Davies and Cade Warrington will continue on with the Zurlo case. A suspect is in custody, one Zacharias Smith, as is a witness named Zoey Williams.

4 AM The witness is sent home.

6 AM The Daily Prophet hits the stands.

10 AM Zacharias Smith is released from custody for lack of evidence but he is still considered a suspect.
