Who: Hermione and Luna Where: Hermione's Flat When: October 28th [Tuesday] What: Luna needs a dress and Hermione's got a surplus
Working at the Ministry did nothing for Luna's peace of mind. It wasn't the mountain of paperwork that bothered her. It was how redundant it seemed. Instead of making copious notes on thestrals, she was writing the same notes three times because they had to be on three different forms. She enjoyed the thestrals and it wasn't their fault the Ministry's policies continued to drive out some of the most innovative minds, but she appeased herself with a promise that once she did manage to strike it out on her own, she'd still see that herd. However, getting independent research enough to get published was proving difficult. However, being in the Ministry did have its perks, like being invited to parties she wouldn't be invited to otherwise. the Hallowe'en party in particular.
Skipping up the steps, she knocked on the door. Visiting Hermione always helped set her mind racing a bit more. Her friend could always be counted on for a level head, well nearly always, but more importantly, Hermione was one of two truly close girl friends she had. It always seemed a bit closer between them, though that might be the shared experiences of womanhood. Luna's head tilted slightly as she decided that must be it.
While she could have gone shopping instead of coming here, but she'd miss the company and she'd miss her dress. When Hermione had offered, Luna had simply known her dress was there. What color or style, she didn't know, but that would be revealed. But it just seemed right, and it was a chance to give Hermione the gift she'd been neglecting to deliver. It had been a month since she went to Skara Brae, and she'd have to return sometime, but she knew Hermione would appreciate the token and more so if no one else were around.
