Legolas smiled softly. He had been rash. Of course he was still a young elf. "I would say that you can trust us three that are in charge. I am one to believe though that your impressions of people hold truest, no matter what they may or may not tell you."
Watching Max Evans with the fairies was comforting. Humans were able to bound back to their happy selves with little effort from an outside source. Legolas just hoped that this one could take it all in stride. As an elf he worried about those less fortunate than he in the ways of life, and picking up on certain things. Humans were lucky though, they had such short lives and knew how to live them to the fullest. Still, this Max Evans was not fully human, unless the fairies were throwing Legolas' senses off.
"Yes. I am Sindarin, a gray or wood elf. My father is the lord of the Silvan Elves of Mirkwood and I am the Lord of Ithilien." He smiled and tilted his head forward, closing his eyes for a brief moment, "I come from Middle Earth and am...quite old by normal human standards." Another smile as his eyes went back to Max Evans'.
"I cannot tell you why it is you. I think that they have just picked beings at random." His voice he kept soft and gentle. The guilt from how he reacted earlier was beginning to wash away. "Perhaps from your world you are the best suited to arrive first, able to take it better than the others. Or perhaps they have interest in just seeing what you would do when brought here." He shook his head and looked back at the fountain, "I cannot tell you the minds of the beings that brought us here without looking at them, hearing them speak, being around them."
He watched as the boy moved back and forth. "You have a key and a map." Legolas stood, moving to the desk to gather both items before coming back to Max. "The map shows everything, even has our names written on our rooms. If you ever find yourself in need, come to me, Hatake Kakashi or Acheron Parthenopaeus, we will know what to do or how to help you." He smiled holding out the items to Max. "I can show you the places you will need most now if you wish. If not you can follow the lead of the map."
The male was full of questions. Legolas grinned, "I have looked for a way out in my own way. I have explored nearly everything that I can explore, including the grounds and rooms of this mansion. Every time it grows or changes I try to explore the new area." He watched Max Evans, "I am the only elf. The fairies have only been here for today. I'm afraid this makes the second day of the music. I cannot tell where it is coming from in order to turn it down." He gave the other an apologetic look.
Legolas studied Max, a small understanding look crossing his features, "There are humans here, but none quite like you."
