“I’m pretty agile”, Max admitted to the elf as he jumped up on the railing next to him; the alien boy was not as light and nimble as Legolas…he was leaned more towards youthful and athletic. The sky was dark and threatening…clouds gathered over the mansion and thunder rolled, warning of a coming storm. The wind whipped through his hair and he suddenly wondered if an outing was such a wise idea.
“It looks like a storm is about to hit, Mr.Legolas”, Max spoke loudly over the wind, “Do you think it might be wise to take a rain check on our excursion?”
“Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”, a green fairy was riding the wind until it came to Max’s head…and then it burrowed in to his thick, dark locks.
“Oh, brother…”, Max grumbled, though he didn’t try to dislodged it for fear of hurting it.
“Weeeeeeeeeeeee” “Weeeeeeeeeeee” “Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”, three more fairies came tumbling and turning in the wind. Max held his hands up as if to protest his hair from any more interlopers and that’s when they all went up under his tee shirt…
“WHAT?!”, Max exclaimed in disbelief, bending at an odd angle and holding out the hem of his shirt, “No way, come out of there!”. The three fairies, two red and a yellow, could not be shaken…no matter where he lifted his shirt, they moved. “Come on, you guys…personal space…don’t you know personal space?”. He sighed and removed the shirt entirely. He looked inside it and did not see the fairies…turned it inside out…shook it…looked on his body. He looked at Legolas and sighed and put his shirt back on…as soon as he did, he heard giggling inside it. He held his hands up in surrender and smiled.
“As I was saying, do you think it best, sir, that we postpone our walk?”, he asked.
