The hope in the other's voice made him hope for such too. Legolas knew that nothing lasted forever, he had learned this harsh lesson at such an early age. He was still quite young compared to the others of his race. Yet he had lived through as much if not more than most, been witness to so many things they had only heard whispers on the wind of. "I can only hope the same." Legolas answered softly with a smile.
"Yes, you can." Legolas laughed softly, "Watch your food and drink around them, my friend. They may look like innocent children but they are far from such!"
Legolas could feel something wrong when he touched Max. It was as if there was a probing, but it was not evil. It felt like Gandalf was standing at his side, trying to read his thoughts or look through his eyes. It was not an unpleasant feeling. It was not of the greatest comfort either. His gray eyes studied the one beside him, then there was the look that the hobbits had upon their features upon seeing elves. His brows drew together, it was an awed look and Legolas did not quite know what he had done to create such a look upon Max Evan's features. "Are you alright?" Legolas tilted his head a little to the side, keeping his eyes upon Max's.
Smiling at Max's chuckle, Legolas became somewhat relieved. Laughter was always a good thing, it brought light to the being laughing, and to those around them. "We are more apt to eat things that are not abnormally flavored," he shook his head sadly, "I have tasted spice and sweet. Both tastes are fine for a small sampling, but I prefer what Samwise once called, bland food." He gave a small smile.
"Correct." Legolas laughed and shook his head, "You humans types think the worst things of what you call work." He moved toward the door, "Are you musically inclined, Max?" He asked softly, then added, "There is a music room and dance hall upstairs. Downstairs is a room called the gym where one can keep in shape while running in place or beating things up." He lifted a shoulder, wondering what was wrong with going outside and roaming and exploring anymore. "I can show you which ever one you wish to see next."
