She made a strange startled sound that sound like “Umph!” before she found herself sprawled on the hallway floor. She lied there for a second, stunned, before she brought her hands up to her forehead. “Ow…” That was the second time today she had hit her head, only this time it had not been her fault!
After getting her tour from Sméagol, she had stayed in her room, contemplating her situation and what to do while also studying the room itself. It had been nice, beautiful even, with pale green walls, a big window for air, four bookshelves stacked with books, and a nice personal laptop with a great big desk to match. All of the books had been particularly interesting, each one hold different scientific theories that could hold her interest.
But then her stomach had started to grumble, and it was then that she realized that she hadn’t eaten anything since this morning when she had grabbed a blueberry muffin on the way to Wolfram & Hart. So, she thought she would put that map to use and try to find her way to the kitchen to get something to eat.
And now… she was sprawled out on the floor with her head throbbing in pain. What luck!
Whoever invented doors that swung outward should be shot, she decided. Shot and persecuted!
