Yuna worried at her lower lip briefly before she spoke. "It's better to work as a team, I think, and with our various...backgrounds," because she assumed whoever else was here came from other worlds themselves, "maybe we can come up with something. Do you know if a Rikku arrived?" She had a list of names, but she didn't want to name everyone she was hoping were here. Lulu, Wakka, Kimari. Tidus. She had no idea what to think of the steep price Ash mentioned that they may have to pay in order to leave, and as it wasn't going to happen any time soon, she set those thoughts away for later. She pocketed her key, which read 422, anxious to see her room later.
Because the desk felt like a divider, Yuna pushed her seat next to Ash's before settling into it and talking away about Spira. "Well, Besaid is the southernmost part of Spira and has tropical climates and a temple where people used to make pilgrimages to. It's a very small island, but Kilika is bigger. Their houses are more like straw huts and there are many wooden docks about the island. Luca is the second largest city in Spira. They have the only Blitzball arena...Blitzball is a sport played underwater where you score points by throwing the blitzball through the y-shaped goal. The buildings are mostly white with red roofs.
Hmmm, the Mi'ihen Highroad connects Luca to Mushroom Rock Road, named for it's mushroom shaped rock formations. Many people died along Mushroom Rock Road. Djose is known for its temple. The temple is situated at the end of the Highroad and it's powered by the lightning element. It's surrounded by massive rocks which hover around the temple. The Moonflow is a massive river that flows through my world. You can ride Shoopufs there! They're these huge blue animals with a loooong trunk that coils when it's not stretched out. Guadosalam is where the Guado live, and it's the gateway to the Farplane. It's very ethereal there. It's mostly underground and lit with soft colored light, like greens and yellows."
Yuna paused, because she felt she should explain what the Farplane was, but it took a moment before she could go on. "The Farplane is the final resting place for the people of Spira. Summoners send the souls of the dead to the Farplane using a ritual dance called 'the Sending.' It's...indescribable, the feeling you get when you're in there. It's different for everyone.
The Thunder Planes are always and forever in the midst of a thunder storm. No one knows why it's like that, but as many die there, a man named Bilghen constructed metal rods all over to draw the lightening away from the main road and allow a somewhat safe passage. One of my favorite places, though, is Macalania. It's a large sparkling blue forest, full of glowing crystal formations and shining skyways. It leads out to an icy lake where pyreflies are often seen floating about, because the Macalania Temple once stood there.
Bikanel is a dester to the west of Spira. The Al-Bhed used to live there, but there was a war between them and the Guado, and they were driven out. It's mainly home to monsters now. Mount Gagazet is the highest point in my world and home to the Ronso. Oh, I forgot about the Hypello! They're another race in Spira, they're really cute. They have webbed feet because their aquatic." Yuna smiled when she had finished, her throat dry from talking for so long. She did not mention the Zanarkand Ruins.
