Below the ocean crashed into the rocks, giving way around the harsh crags before flowing back out to attack again. The sea would win, it always did. Light eyes looked out into the waters, seeing many things with his powerful eyes. Sooner or later, there would come a time when the sea would win him as well. The sea always called to the elves.
Here it was different though. It was as if there was no land in any direction from the island. Lost in a sea of dismal abysses and no hopes. Legolas sighed, crouching on the edge of the land that had him trapped. He had a friend here, he was thankful for that. A small smile passed over his lips, but still at the first sign of trouble he had not protected her.
No reason to rest on the past with ones mind. His thoughts returned to the sea. Watching the waves dance in the moonlight against the rocks. An endless symphony. Battle. Standing to his full height he tossed a rock out into the waves. Walking along the edge he felt the ground give under his light tread. He was far too close to the drop. Legolas didn't care, he knew his reflexes well enough. He was light on his feet, ground underneath him slipping down the cliff would do little more than startle him a bit. Chuckling at himself he jumped up on another rock and threw his arms out wide. He was low enough to feel the spray of one large wave as it crashed against the rocks below.
"A' amin!" Again the wave crashed and he felt a little of the spray. "You are still not strong enough to bid me to your arms fair sea." He murmured, dropping his hands. He sighed, looking out past the crashing waves, looking where the stared sky hit the midnight sea. It had been a long day.
