“Bloody stupid…ack!” Sirius kicked at the crab that tried to grab onto his toe for the umpteenth time that day. He’d decided that some much needed R&R out on the beach would do the trick today, seeing as how the last few days had been cold and terrible. But! There had been Christmas after all, and that had been bloody amazing! He loved Christmas, and hoped that maybe they’d get to have it again…soon too.
As his thoughts drifted the crab managed to finally scuttle off, claws clicking together as Sirius flipped him off. “Bugger off.” He shook his head, going back up to his beach towel that he’d spread out on the warm sand and plopped down. Grabbing his cigarettes from beside the towel he pulled one out, and was about to light it when a woman appeared out of nowhere, landing on the beach about ten feet away from him.
Sirius canted his head to the side, dark strands of hair falling in front of his face. He smoothed them back, watching her for a moment as she stood and looked towards the mansion. He sighed lightly, moving to stand himself and brushed sand off of the back of his swim shorts.
He walked slowly towards the woman, brows furrowed as he watched her. “Hello, there. Pretty sight isn’t it?” He smiled, inclining his head to her. “I’m Sirius Black, and I reckon I should welcome you to the mansion although you’ll probably not believe me seeing as how you’re…” She wasn’t a Healer, what was the Muggle term? “A doctor?” Grey eyes studied her carefully for a moment, and then he smiled once again.
