Dr. Grimm had woken up with quite a chill that morning, thankfully though it was just her face and not the rest of her body since the mansion had provided her with extra blankets to sleep under. She’d showered, dressed, and eyed Lucy as her hands were wrapped around a hot cup of steaming coffee.
There wasn’t anything here that she could do, and that just made the doctor sigh with frustration. She couldn’t figure out how to get back home. This should’ve been quite easy, but apparently the gods were just going to lead her on a wild goose chase. That was, if there were any gods. But Dr. Grimm’s views were slowly changing on the matter, and she…well she was starting to believe that forces beyond their control were in fact controlling the mansion.
She drank down her coffee, slipped on her jacket, gloves and wrapped a scarf around her neck. She couldn’t catch at cold, or at least she didn’t really want to. She wanted to go outside, just to see if maybe something had changed out there since yesterday.
Carefully she made her way down the stairs, pausing for a moment to look over the frozen fountain. Everything still looked the same inside as it had yesterday, or at least that’s what she thought. Shaking her head, she trudged through the snow inside, and with a grunt pushed open the door.
Once outside she glanced around, raising a brow as she heard laughter and talking. A smile spread across her face at the voices, so she decided to go towards them. She was expecting to see two kids, there though was a boy and a…dinosaur? Her brows rose even further in surprise and she stopped a short distance away from the pair.
She was studying Guilmon intently, and then when the boy spoke she turned her attention to him. She smiled, “Hi.” She greeted, stealing another glance at the dinosaur for a moment. “I’m Dr. Samantha Grimm. Most people call me Sam or Dr. Grimm. Whichever one you want to call me is fine.” She took another small step forward, still studying Guilmon. “Wow…” She finally managed, eying the small red creature with curiosity.
