Neji's mind went blank for a moment. He barely registered Sasuke's weight on top of him or the hand in his hair; all he could think about was the throbbing ache at the back of his head. He tried to lift himself up, only to find that the floor beneath him seem to tilt and spin as he did so... and the fact that he couldn't see for himself that it wasn't made this all the more unsettling.
"... ow." He drew in a pained hiss as Sasuke's fingers brushed over the injured spot, jerking him back into reality. He shifted his hold on Sasuke's wrist, settling into a less awkward position but not letting go completely. His pulse beat away frantically beneath Neji's fingers. "I'll be fine... worse things have happened." He let his head roll to his left, taking the pressure off the back of his head. It would probably be a good idea to put something cold on it... there was no ice, but he had a sink in the corner, and a cloth soaked in cold water would be better than nothing.
But Sasuke was still lying on top of him, nearly motionless save for his left hand in Neji's hair. It then occurred to him that the other boy might have hurt himself from the fall as well. "And you? Can you stand up?"
