Arrival of Eclipse, April 6th
Who: Eclipse and Acheron What: Eclipse's arrival When: Evening Where: The Mansion Foyer Rating: PG Status: In Progress
Eclipse had been reading, standing in the library, his back against the large bookshelf. The book was an old, large tome. The pages were cover in dust, beyond what normal dusting would have helped. Eclipse didn't mind that at all. He liked old things, most of the time. Especially when they didn't try to swallow his demon lord and bring forth the former. Something random like that was just not kosher, especially since he hadn't thought of it himself.
This particular tome was about other dimensions. Otherworldly dimensions. He sighed as she kept reading. There was something amiss about the book suddenly. There were a few extra pages in the back now, he could feel the weight shift with them. His brows drawing together slightly, Eclipse slowly flipped back to the new pages.
They were crisp, seemingly just sewn in. On the first page was a picture of a large mansion. Studying the picture, it began to change. The picture slowly moved in, closing in on the basement levels, showing Eclipse where it was going through the floors. He could see people, people that didn't seem to fit there. Then he was in what appeared to be in his room, but he knew it was in this other place.
Eclipse closed his eyes, slowly reopening them. The picture had went back to normal, the large mansion, the trees waving in the wind gently. It was if the peace and tranquility just beckoned him to come ruin it. Turning the page slowly he watched words appear in an odd script.
You have been chosen, Eclipse.
Odd. Even for a tome in this library. He idly wondered if one of the three pranksters in this house had finally learned to manipulate his reading material. He sighed, slamming the book shut and laying it upon the table in the middle of the room. It was time for Raenef's studies. Taking a step away from the book, he paused. Tilting his head he looked back at the book over his shoulder. It had come open again.
You cannot deny us.
He couldn't? A small smirk crossed his lips as he felt the pull of the book. Reaching back over he shut it again, this time putting another, heavier tome on top of it. "I have work I must finish, fools." He murmured and turned again.
This time he stopped as there was a loud thunk, only one thing could make a noise like that. A rather large book falling from it's place to the floor. He turned back to the book again, this time the script was an angry red. Eclipse folded his arms over his abdomen. His dark eyes quietly studied the words. There were few others that he answered to other than Raenef, and that was the gods.
We the Gods hereby charge you with playing in our little game, Eclipse. You will not be able to deny us. You will do our bidding or face our wrath.
Fine. "Raenef is to come with me." It was a statement, not a fact. Of course he did not get to say anything more, for he was pulled into the book. For a moment he was on a dark plane, walking on dark ground, hearing the voices of the gods. There were many of them, not the usual Odin and Freya who dared charge him with such things. Before him great doors opened, he strode toward them, and through them. Blinking in the bright light he held up his hand, shielding his eyes from the fake light of the mansion he had seen on the pages of the book.
Something fluttered by his head. His dark eyes moved to it, the fairy turning to ash in an instant. Eclipse moved along the walkway, it disappearing behind him and leaving the water open. He stepped from the fountain, watching the one square of the fairy's remains stay in place. It was then that five fairies emerged from the ash. Eclipse sighed.
Dark eyes studied his surroundings, "Raenef." He murmured, knowing full and well the gods had tricked him and his charge was not here. His face darkened, the fairies looking him over curiously began backing far away. Eclipse was not to be trifled with, not even by the so called gods.
